Subject Outline

International trade has increased dramatically over the last decade with the emergence of the North American, European and Asian trading blocs. This has led to an increase in the scope and scale of international companies. International Business explores the practices of these companies within the global economy. A global perspective is adopted and addresses the study of international business from the start, complemented by a personal development theme and other areas pertinent to international business.

The course is a mix of lectures, seminars tutorials and independent research.

Course timings and days:   Varied depending on 2, 3 or 5month course.

 Course Objective:

 

This course is a high intensive certificate program for students who will focus on studying English in a business context. The course aims to improve the learners’ fluency and accuracy in English needed for work, business or in any professional environment as well as training the student in business procedures.

 

The course is designed to:

bulletImprove fluency, listening, pronunciation and presentation skills in business situations (social interactions, transactions, negotiations, meetings, etc.)
