Beautiful Bonbon. Situated on the shores of the Bohol sea with endless miles of white pure sandy beaches and palm trees has to be one of the most natural and peaceful places in Asia.
GEOGRAPHY Cagayan de Oro City of Golden Friendship, the capital of Misamis Oriental, which is one of Mindanao's most progressive cities, and also one of its most picturesque. Surrounded by mountains and bordered by the majestic Cagayan River and Macajalar Bay, Cagayan de Oro exudes freshness and innocence. Vast pineapple plantations define its landscape; and rainforests where wildlife continues to thrive under its care and protection.
Sagada features caves that can be explored (even by non-experts) with the aid of local guides, an interesting hike along an underground river, a waterfall and pool to cool off in after a day of exploring, and a quiet serenity only found off the beaten path. The forebears of the current residents practiced an unusual burial practice by hanging and stacking coffins, hewed from tree trunks, in the limestone karst cliffs and caves near town.
Tinago Falls - A hole in the mountains hiding a retreat so beautiful it has to be seen to appreciate it. Tanago falls however is a liite way out of CDO. Its a10 minute ride from from Illigon but well worth the trip

THE CATHEDRAL: The home of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro City, this place of worship is also famous for its century old stained glass windows. Useful links: Academies & Universities. Accommodation Philippines general information
Philippines Philippines 7107 Islands of Paradise, Majestic Beauty and Friendship. Certainly the most friendliest country in Asia where you can enjoy yourself in a safe surrounding with super people. The country has an abundance of entertainment, wide variety of foods and everything is very cheap, although its starting to get more expensive as the Peso climbs in value.
Banaue This fascinating region in northern Luzon is known for being largely untouched by Western civilisation and gives a glimpse of the true Philippines. In a string of villages around Banaue people live according to age-old tribal traditions. The main attraction in the area is the Banaue Rice terraces, dubbed the ‘eighth wonder of the world’. Constructed about 3,000 years ago (Carved out of the hillside by Ifugao tribes people 2000 to 3000 years ago,) the terraces start from the base of the Cordillero Mountains and extend upwards for thousands of feet, (these remarkable terraces stretch like stepping stones to the sky - some reaching an altitude of 1500m (4920ft).) cleverly irrigated by channelled streams and springs. The terraces bear testimony to the ingenuity of the ancient Ifugao people. There are more terraces at Batad village, which also sports a waterfall and natural swimming pool, and at Sagada there are a series of ancient burial caves in the mountainside with the famous ‘hanging coffins’ perched on limestone outcrops.
Other AttractionsThere are countless spectacular sights scattered throughout the archipelago, including the strange Chocolate Hills of Bohol in the Visayas; the volcanic crater Lake Taal, southwest of Manila; the burial caves of Sagada, 18km (11mi) from Bontoc; the easygoing port town of Cebu City, where Magellan marked the beginning of Christianity in the Philippines by erecting a cross; and 5,000 uninhabited islands to explore. Travel Information Visas: For most foreign visitors visas are not needed
for stays of less than 21 days. Three-month visas can be obtained in advance and
cost around US$35. Multiple-entry visas (lasting six and 12 months) are also
available but are expensive and only allow for stays of 59 days at a time. Visa
extensions are possible and generally faster to obtain in regional areas. Money & CostsCurrency: Philippines Peso
