Work abroad and be happy. Choose the right place. Check out 'Post a job', 'post a resume', 'Dave's ESL cafe', 'embassies' for Hogwons, then ask other teachers about teaching jobs in Korea before you start working. You could end up with something like this:- Compliments of English Friends Jang-an, South Korea. They really expect there Native Teachers to live in this? Their classrooms compliment the same standards with cheap second hand furniture and equipment. Others places mentioned equally have abysmal accommodation and lying cheating nothing less than 'thugs' who exploit Foreigners working abroad. Working splits shifts and being forced to work a 12hour (and longer) day is still normal practice in many places in Korea and English friends is not on its own. Being treated like animals is still common practice and if you happen to be Australian, Canadian or from New Zealand then you will also get a 'drop in pay', Bonus not paid, Blackmail, late/none payment etc. These are all sadly too frequent in Asia. China has the highest corrupt business practice, Korea second, followed by Japan etc. Don't misunderstand us. We also met some super people and friends. But you have to be very, very careful.
